Trail Marker 1

Welcome to the Taylor River Side Homestead Farm and Wildlife Refuge. Eleven generations of Taylors and their ancestors have farmed this land since 1720. It is now the only operating farm fronting on the Delaware River between Trenton and Camden. In order to preserve much of their land for future generations, the Taylors donated a conservation easement on 89 acres in 1975, the Taylor Wildlife Refuge, to the New Jersey Natural Lands Trust.

Between sunrise and sunset you are welcome to enjoy the 1.5 mile marked interpretive loop trail that takes you through the diverse habitats of the Refuge. As you walk the marked trail or explore areas off the trail, please respect the land by not picking the natural or cultivated plants. Also, be responsible and leave no trash on the farm or wildlife refuge.
